Grandchildren ~ wonderous, happy and joyous
Each one of you changed my life when you were born
So many heartaches in the last decade but each one
softened because of each of you.
Dillon, my pride and joy each and every day
I'm so grateful for all the time I've been able
to have you with us
We've traveled to so many places together and
seen so much ~ trains, planes and automobiles
Your curiousity for life has warmed my heart
And to see you fly an airplane at age 10 was
thrilling.
We were so happy to be able to provide you
with so many firsts that we could do together~
first airplane trip at 9 months old~
first train ride at 3 years old
first trip to CA for the Railfest at age 6
first time on a real steam engine then too
first room service age 6 and oh my you liked that
(that was very clever calling and ordering a fruit
platter while I took my shower)
They day before you were born, I rubbed your
Mommy's tummy and asked you to come out ~
Just so I could lay my eyes on my first grandchild.
Thank you for listening to Grammy then and
for being the sunshine in my life.
Brynna ~ my first and only granddaughter ~
What joy you have brought into my life.
That smile of yours melts my heart ~
I wish everyone could have a granddaughter
as sweet as you are
You look so beautiful dressed in your girlie
things ~ even if it did take awhile to
convince you that skirts and dresses were fun.
(We have Strawberry Shortcake to thank for that)
You are fearless ~ and I'm proud of you that
you hold your own so well with all the boys....
I think from the day you were 2 and decked a older boy for
being mean to a little one ~ well I knew you were truly
made of the metal that the women in our family are. :)
I don't think I've ever met a smarter little girl ~
sometimes I think you are so wise beyond your years.
You are delightful and unique and you are
the sunshine in my life.
Jacob, my sunshine ~ with those big brown cow eyes
and that cute little nose....
I've been so blessed since the day you were born ~
You helped my broken heart after your cousin Cole
went to heaven. I can never be sad when you are
with me Jake ~ we have a bond that runs so deeply
that your silly Grammy cried when Mommy and Daddy
moved to a new house that wasn't a block away ~
Yes, I know you didn't go that far away but no one could
convince me of that at the time.
Silly Grammy
I love our phone conversations and that you always
want to come see me. I always want to see you too
which is why I tell you to tell Mommy :)
Your imagination is amazing and always makes your
Grammy smile.
You are precious to me and you are
the sunshine in my life.
Mason ~ our little "Bug" as we call you ~
From the moment you were born and in my arms
it was pure love.
You see the happiest things in life and it shows so clearly
in your smile
That smile ~ Mason that smile is indelible in my mind
and always in my heart.
You are happy at whatever you are doing ~ taking care
of you is a joy.
You are so self-entertaining and find something fun in
everything you try.
By the way, I think the words I love the most are
"Grammy help me"
and they are always followed with a thank you.
How did you get so polite at 2 years old?
I love you Bug ~ and you are
the sunshine in my life.
